Why should I sharpen my knives?

Sharp knives cut better, faster, and safer. Dull blades require more pressure, which increases the risk of slipping and injury.

How often should I sharpen?

Every 4–6 months for regular-use kitchen knives. Steak knives need sharpening less frequently.

Can I get service any time?

SHARPENLA works with HOAs, apartments, and neighborhood groups. You can only place orders when your location has a scheduled sharpening day.

Do I need to be home?

No. Leave your bag of knives outside your front door the morning of your scheduled sharpening day and we will return them within 24 hours.

Do you serve areas outside LA?

Currently, we only serve locations within 50 miles of Downtown Los Angeles with a minimum of 50 units.

What type of knives do you NOT sharpen?

Currently we do NOT sharpen ceramic blades, scissors or gardening shears but that may change in the future.
